Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit here next week to be part of Madhya Pradesh’s celebration of tribal warriors’ week.
PM Modi will be in the state capital for four hours and for 1 hour 15 minutes on the dais, for which five domes are being constructed.
More than ₹ 23 crore is being spent by the Madhya Pradesh government for the event. Out of which, ₹ 13 crore will be earmarked only for transporting people to the programme to be held at Jamboree Maidan.
On November 15, the state will celebrate Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas in memory of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. PM Modi is set to address the gathering and will also dedicate the country’s first public-private partnership-built Habibganj railway station in the city’s Jamboori Maidan.
It has also been decided by the Union cabinet to organise week-long programmes nationally between November 15 and 22 as part of the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas. This is being held to commemorate the contributions of Birsa Munda as well as other tribal freedom fighters.
