Maha Shivratri: COVID-19 Norms For Devotees Lighting Diyas Inside Lingaraj Temple

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of Maha Shivratri on March 11, a preparatory meeting with three sevayat bodies of the Lingaraj Temple in Odisha capital was held on Saturday.

The meeting discussed the deployment of police, traffic arrangement and the exit of the devotees from the temple premises with the raising of the Mahadeep atop the temple at 10 pm.

In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was decided to maintain social distancing among devotees while lighting diyas inside the temple premises.

Among others, senior officials of the district administration, Lingaraj temple administration and the Commissionerate Police were present.
