The Mahanadi Bachao Andolan (MBA) core committee in it’s meeting on Wednesday decided to organize Sankalpa Satyagraha at Raipur in Chhattisgarh from October 21 to 23.
Around 200 people from Odisha will travel from Bhubaneswar on October 20 by Puri-Durg Express and around 300 people from Chhatishgarh will join them for three days.
They will be taking up four-day Padayatra from November 12 in Jagatsinghpur, which will end with a public meeting. On November 16, there will be Sankalpa Boat Yatra in Chilika. Both the programmes will be attended by waterman Dr Rajendra Singh and leaders of other river basins.
Today’s meeting was attended by Singh, members of MBA and Jal Sevaks from different parts of Mahanadi River basin.
