Mahanadi Bridge Mishap Toll Rises To 11

Cuttack: The death toll in the tragic mishap on Mahanadi bridge near Cuttack went up to 11 on Friday with the death of one more passenger.

The deceased has been identified as Bharat Mallick. He succumbed to his injuries in the ICU of the SCB Medical College and Hospital.

Earlier, the hospital authorities had received bodies of 10 passengers, including three women, who had died on the spot when the Bhubaneswar bound ill-fated private bus fell of the Mahanadi bridge after hitting a buffalo on November 20.

Sources said of 50 injured passengers, 28 are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
