Paradip: The second-phase Mahanadi Mahasangram Abhiyan organized by the BJD will be concluded at Paradip in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district on Friday.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will attend the concluding event at 11 am and address a public meeting at the Biju Maidan here.
Thousands of people from Paradip, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara would attend the meeting.
To ensure smooth conduct of the event, police have prepared a blueprint for elaborate security arrangements.
To maintain law and order during the event, 14 platoons of armed police force have been deployed in the Port town while 34 senior police officers have been pressed in to service to monitor security.
A meeting presided over by additional SP Bishnu Charan Mishra was held at the meeting venue on Thursday in which senior police officers of the district and the IICs of all police station were present.
The second-phase Mahanadi Mahasangram Abhiyan was flagged off by the chief minister in Jharsuguda and Bargarh district on May 16. The rally, which had begun from both sides of Mahanadi river, covered 15 districts.
