Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday announced extension of COVID-19 lockdown till May 31.
“The calibrated phase-wise relaxation/lifting of lockdown orders will be notified in due course,” an order from the office of Chief Secretary Ajoy Mehta stated.
“Lockdown 3.0 ends today. Lockdown 4.0 will come into effect tomorrow and will be valid till May 31. There will be some relaxations in the fourth phase,” Mehta said.
He assured that green and orange zone will get “more relaxations” during Lockdown 4.0.
Maharashtra is the worst-affected state with over 30,000 coronavirus positive cases.
