Permission To Open Liquor Shops In Mumbai Withdrawn

Mumbai: The Maharashtra Government on Tuesday revoked its permission to open liquor shops in Mumbai to avoid over-crowding and maintain law and order.
Chaos prevailed at the liquor shops, which opened this morning, as people blatantly flouted the social distancing norms.  At some places, police had to resort to “mild-lathi charge” to disperse the unruly crowd.

The liquor shops were allowed to open for a few hours in the afternoon.
