Koraput: South superstar Mahesh Babu recently took part in ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign at Deomali hills, after wrapping up the shoot of his upcoming project SSMB29 in Odisha’s Koraput district.
Dressed in a white shirt and blue denim, the actor was seen interacting with locals. Filmmaker SS Rajamouli was also clicked planting saplings.
Pottang MLA Ramachandra Kadam had also met Rajamouli and gifted him handmade millet products.
The filmmaker had earlier embarked on a solo trek to Deomali, the highest mountain peak in Odisha. Though he was mesmerised by the view from the top of the hills, the litters along the trail left him disheartened. He had mentioned the same in a post on Instagram.
Mahesh Babu along with Prithviraj Sukumaran along with actress Priyanka Chopra were in Koraput for filming of SSMB 29. The district administration had granted permission to the production house to shoot the fim in Talamali and Deomali until March 28.
Earlier, Rajamouli’s technical team had finalised the locations for the action-packed jungle adventure film, which is being made under the Durga Art banner with a massive budget of approximately ₹1,000 crore. Major shooting locations included scenic spots like Deomali, Talamali, and Machkund, with the first schedule primarily focused on Talamali.
The production team had also booked all the lodges in Semiliguda to accommodate its 500-member crew, according to reports.
