Mumbai: Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who was summoned by Mumbai Police for questioning in the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case, recorded his statement at Santacruz police station on Monday.
As per a report in Republic TV, the veteran filmmaker arrived at the police station at 11 am and the police interrogation started at 11.30 am. After being grilled for nearly two and a half hours, Bhatt left the police station at 2 pm.
According to the report, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and Investigating Officer (IO) were present during the interrogation.
Before the interrogation, Bhatt had shared a cryptic post on his Twitter handle.
“We are here for a blink of an eye. Pride dissolves in the presence of death. May we accept our mortality. This too shall pass,” Bhatt tweeted.
Earlier, Bhatt had claimed that Sushant was going the Parveen Babi way and was suffering from some mental disorder.
He had even asked Rhea Chakraborty, Sushant’s girlfriend, to stay away from the actor as she might end up harming herself while trying to save him.
Sushant’s fans have been calling out the filmmaker, questioning his relationship with Rhea. Many even slammed Bhatt for nepotism in Bollywood.
