Mahindra on Wednesday launched the all-electric eKUV100 at Auto Expo 2020. The prices start at Rs 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it the most affordable electric car in the Indian market at present. The price includes FAME II subsidies for Delhi.
The eKUV100 is powered by a 40 kW (54.4 hp) electric motor and has a claimed range of 150 km on a single charge. The battery takes 5 hr 45 min to recharge on a regular charger, and 55 min on a fast charger.
Design-wise, there aren’t many changes from its petrol-powered version other than a closed front grille that will help in aerodynamics. The charging port is located on the front fender.
