Cuttack: New COVID-19 cases witnessed a major drop in the city as 39 persons tested positive in the last 24 hours from 65 cases the previous day.
Of the new cases, maximum 17 are local contacts, followed by 12 from institutional quarantines and 19 from home quarantines, according to Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC).
With the day’s figure, the total cases went up to 14,997. While 14,135 patients have recovered, 70 have succumbed to the disease. There are 792 active cases at present, the CMC stated.
