Major Fire At ‘Dilli Haat’, 12 Fire Engines Rushed To Iconic Spot

New Delhi: A major fire engulfed the iconic Dilli Haat in the national capital on Wednesday night.

According to the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), after the fire broke out at around 8.55 pm, 12 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames.

The fire originated in one of the shops in the popular market destination which is inspired by India’s village markets and has stalls of handicrafts from across the country as well as eateries of cuisines from various parts of India.

According to officials, stalls of different states have caught fire.

Around 25 to 30 stalls are feared to be completely burnt to ashes in the market located in south Delhi’s INA.

No injuries have been reported so far.
