Bhubaneswar: A major fire broke out at the office of a private export company in Patia area of Bhubaneswar in the early hours of Sunday. No one was reported to have been injured in the incident.
The fire erupted in the office of Sreeragam Export Private Limited at Sai Anadam Complex in Patia area of the capital city in the wee hours, an official of the Fire services said.
On being informed, Fire services personnel immediately rushed to the site and rescued six persons from the second floor of the building without any casualty by using ladder and BA Set.
The fire was completely extinguished within a short time.
The fire originated from the AC installed on the ground floor and soon soon spread to the first and second floors of the building. Two fire units were engaged for firefighting operation.
Five AC units, two beds and office documents were gutted in the blaze.
