Angul: A major fire broke out in a saree showroom in Odisha’s Angul town on Saturday evening.
The Mangalam Saree Showroom located on Sankar Cinema road in the town was almost totally destroyed in the fire. Sarees and other materials worth lakhs of rupees turned to ashes in the inferno, sources said. Some vehicles parked in front of the showroom were also gutted.
While nobody has been injured in the incident, the Fire Brigade was engaged in extinguishing the fire. While the cause of the fire has not been ascertained, the estimate of the loss of properties would be known after the fire is totally extinguished, the sources added.
