Puri: A major mishap was reportedly averted as a helicopter of Indian Coast Guard made an emergency landing in Puri on Saturday.
According to sources, the Coast Guard personnel were on a routine sortie for patrolling over Bay of Bengal off Puri coast, when the helicopter developed technical snag. The pilot took the chopper to Talabania helipad and made an emergency landing there.
As the pilot managed to land at the nearby helipad, a major mishap was averted, said the Coast Guard personnel.
