New Delhi: As many as 80 doctors at Saroj Hospital here have tested COVID-19 positive so far. Besides, a senior surgeon at the hospital has succumbed to the disease
Of the 80 infected doctors, 12 are now undergoing treatment at the hospital while the others are in home quarantine.
The outbreak at the hospital has dealt a severe blow to the already strained staff and all out-patient departments (OPDs) have been closed for now.
Dr AK Rawat, a senior surgeon who had served at Saroj Hospital for 27 years, has succumbed to COVID-19, according to a report in The Times of India.
The report further stated that over 300 doctors and paramedic staff across Delhi hospitals have tested COVID positive so far.
