Majority Of 30 New COVID-19 Cases From Containment Zones In Odisha’s Koraput

Jeypore: The COVID-19 tally in Koraput district rose to 444 on Saturday with 30 fresh cases being reported in the last 24 hours.

Of these new cases, 22 are local contacts, including 18 from containment zones. Of the other eight positive cases, four each were reported from home quarantine and institutional quarantine centres.

  • One is a Maharashtra returnee
  • One is a Bangalore returnee
  • Four are Andhra Pradesh returnees
  • Two are Bhubaneswar returnees
  • Two are COVID warriors.

Details of Positive Cases:

Nine cases in Koraput municipality

  • Five are the cases in DNK Colony (Fire Station area) (already in containment)
  • Two cases are from OMP, Koraput (already in containment)
  • One case is from Railway Colony, Koraput (already in containment)
  • One case is from SLNMCH, Koraput.

Seven cases in Jeypore municipality

  • Two are from Irrigation Colony (already in containment)
  • Two are from Bhupati Street (already in containment)
  • One is from Jayanagar
  • One is from PR Peta, 1st Line.
  • One is from Niladri Bihar

One case in OCC Nagar, Semiliguda in Sunabeda municipality

Six cases are from Laxmipur Block

  • Four cases are from Laxmipur (already in containment)
  • Two are from Kakiriguma

Four of them are from the 200-bed temporary medical centre at Boys Hostel, Narayanpatna

Two cases in Koraput block

  • One from Mathalput (Already in containment)
  • One from Dumuriput

One from Poibeda village in Lamtaput block (already in containment)

With 159 recoveries, Koraput district has 285 active cases at present.
