Bhubaneswar: Corporate tycoons including Arcelor Mittal Executive Chairman L N Mittal, Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla and Chairman of Vedanta Resources Anil Agarwal are expected to attend Make In Odisha Conclave 2022 beginning on Wednesday.
Addressing media in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday, Industries Minister Pratap Keshari Deb said that JSW chairman Sajjan Jindal, JSPL Chairman Naveen Jindal and Tata Steel’s CEO and Managing Director T V Narendran are also likely to attend Odisha’s flagship investment summit.
Apart from participation from corporate India, representatives from partner countries of Japan, Norway and Germany will also grace the third edition of the biennial event being held at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar and scheduled to conclude on December 4, he said.
Over 11,600 registrations have been received by the government for participation in the five-day Conclave, the Minister said, adding that the organizers have successfully managed to line up 124 speakers and schedule 38 events spanning all the Conclave days.
Describing the event as a massive initiative by the state government, Deb said 22 departments have come together to plan and execute the Conclave.
As a build-up to the MIO Conclave 2022, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has led government delegations on roadshows to various metros across Coimbatore, Jamshedpur, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad in India as well as in Dubai, he said.
“Getting a huge response from all these roadshows, the Conclave will see participation from corporate India,” Deb added.
