Thiruvananthapuram: A Malayalam TV actor Dileep Sankar was found dead in a hotel room in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday. The actor was staying in the city for the shooting of an ongoing serial, reports stated. According to reports, he last visited the set two days ago.
The makers of the serial claimed that there was a break in the shoot. Dileep was staying at the hotel to rejoin the set afterwards, they stated. He was reportedly dealing with certain health issues. The police have started a probe.
His body was found after a foul smell came from the room and the same was detected by the hotel staffers.
Dileep is known for his roles in popular TV serials like Ammayariyathe and Panchagni. He had not been seen leaving his room during his stay, reported the India Today. Initial reports indicate no signs of foul play.
He was last seen portraying Chandrasenan in the ongoing serial Panchagni. He was recently praised for his role as Peter in Ammayariyathe. Probe is on.
