Puri: Satyabadi Police on Monday will take Judhistir Swain, prime accused in the murder of his beloved. Her beheaded body was found inside the Chandaka Reserve Forest near Malipada village under Chandaka police limits on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on December 20.
Three days after the woman’s body was recovered, Satyabadi Police went to Kunjara village under Delang police limits on Sunday and interrogated five family members of the accused. Police later seized the clothes and slippers of the deceased woman and the marriage registration documents from the house. The police are trying to ascertain whether the murder took place at Malipada or somewhere else.
Police suspect that the accused, after kidnapping the woman from her village Gold Binjheipada under Satyabadi police limits on December 13, brought her to his village where he had a quarrel with her about the marriage. Later, he and his family members might have strangulated and beheaded her and dumped her body inside the forest near Malipada village.
The deceased’s family had lodged a complaint with the Satyabadi police on December 15. Acting on the complaint, police had begun an investigation.
