Malkangiri: The Managing Director of Poteru Large Area Multi-Purpose Cooperative Societies (LAMPS) in Malkangiri district has been placed under suspension over alleged irregularities in groundnut procurement.
The official has been identified as Dhaneswar Patnaik.
According to the sources, he was suspended after the farmers alleged that groundnuts were not procured from mandis and the LAMPS authorities were refusing to pick the produce over lack of sacks.
