Bhubaneswar: Sailing through the challenges posed by COVID-19, the students of The Academy of Fashion and Art, Bhubaneswar, have come out with flying colours in the NIFT entrance examination, the results of which were declared recently.

The institute’s student Mamali Mishra secured All India Rank 11. An passionate artist, she aims to pursue Fashion Communication at the Delhi campus of the reputed fashion institute.

Mamali said she had cracked the exam last year also but as the rank was not as not as desired to make it to the top institutes, she decided to give herself another chance. Her determination saw her come out with flying colours in this attempt.

“I am extremely happy that I got such a great rank. It is the result of both, me and my mother’s hard work. I hope I can make Odisha and its culture proud in the future through my endeavours,” said Mamali.

The others from the institute who have made a mark in the entrance exam are: Anwesha Arpita Patra (AIR 62), Shruti Panda (AIR 111), Akash Kumar Parida (AIR 115), Jiya Agarwal (AIR 138) and Aischaryalaxmi Sahu AIR 608.
