In a bizarre incident, a man agreed to let his wife live with her lover after the latter gave him 71 sheep. The incident was reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur.
According to media reports, Seema Pal had eloped with her lover Umesh Pal and they were living together at Charpani. They along with the husband approached the village panchayat for a solution.
The panchayat in Pipraich asked Umesh to give half of his sheep flock (71 of them) to the woman’s husband as “compensation”.
The trio were reportedly happy with the decision. However, Umesh’s father wasn’t pleased with giving up 71 sheep and filed a police complaint against Rajesh. He demanded an unconditional return of his livestock and accused the woman’s husband of stealing the animals.
