Man Arrested For Sexually Exploiting Minor Daughter For Years In Rourkela

Rourkela: A man was arrested for allegedly sexually exploiting his minor daughter for several years in Rourkela of Odisha’s Sundargarh district.

According to sources, the man, whose identity has not been revealed by the police, and his his 13-year-old daughter were staying in Sector 15 of the city. They were staying alone as the girl’s mother had died when she was 9 years old and elder sister was staying outside the state.

Though the man had been sexually exploiting his minor daughter, the latter did not reveal to anybody about it out of shame and fear for her father. However, she mustered courage a few days back and disclosed the matter to her elder sister.

Her sister accompanied by their uncle (father’s brother) filed a complaint with police. Following preliminary investigation into the matter, the police arrested the man, who works in a PSU, from his home late Thursday night, the sources said.
