Bhubaneswar: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Bhubaneswar, arrested Badri Narayan Mishra of Banktia village under Rasol police limits in Dhenkanal district for allegedly duping Rs 1.35 crore. It was taken from the State Bank of India, Shastri Nagar branch of Bhubaneswar. He was sent to the SDJM court on the same day.
An instant case was registered based on the written report of SBI Bank Manager, Ajay Kumar Muni.
It is alleged in the FIR that the accused, B. N. Mishra had availed loans amounting to Rs.1.35 crore from the bank for opening a foreign liquor shop after mortgaging the land of which he had no right and title. Investigation revealed that Mishra had applied for two CC loans of Rs 1.20 crore and Rs.15 lakh respectively for buying land.
