Cuttack: Badambadi police have arrested a man from Kandarpur here on charges of duping a youth on the pretext of giving job.
The accused has been identified as Sheikh Mudin, a native of Jajpur.
According to sources, the accused took Rs 40,000 from one Pradeep Kumar Behera to provide him a job in Singapore.
Mudin then started avoiding Behera, following which, the latter lodged a complaint at Badambadi police station.
Based on the complaint, the police started investigation and arrested Mudin on Sunday.
Further investigation into the matter is on.
