Jajpur: A man from Odisha, who had allegedly deserted his wife and four-year-old son in Uttar Pradesh, was on Friday arrested by Binjharpur police.
His wife came to Binjharpur last week and filed a police complaint. The man, identified as Susanta Barik, was produced before a local court today.
Police said Barik worked in a hospital in Uttar Pradesh.
He married the woman, a widow, after being in a relationship with her for several months. She said in her statement that Barik left Uttar Pradesh without informing her.
