Bhubaneswar: A man was arrested for allegedly stealing a mobile phone from OMFED office at Chandrasekharpur here on Tuesday. The stolen mobile phone was recovered from him.
The arrested was identified as Santosh Behera.
On July 9, a person had lodged a complaint about his mobile phone being snatched at Damana Square here.
Acting on the complaint, police carried out raids at different places and managed to nab the accused from a slum at Chandrasekharpur.
Behera was allegedly involved in loot incidents in various places of the state capital, including Chandrasekharpur, Mancheswar, Damana and Patia. Several cases are pending against him at different police stations, police sources said.
