Nabarangpur: An undertrial prisoner of Nabarangpur sub-jail died while undergoing treatment at a hospital on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Rama Dhara Bhatara of Dasapaiguda village under Kodinga police limits.
According to sources, Bhotra was behind bars since January 22 following his arrest under POCSO Act. He was admitted to the district headquarters hospital after he fell ill on Monday evening. But he died while undergoing treatment.
The exact cause of his death is yet to be ascertained.
Notably, an undertrial prisoner had died in Puri, a couple of days back.
