Man Attacked In Moving Bus In Bhadrak

Bhadrak: A man was severely injured after being attacked by an unidentified person inside a moving bus at Brahmanigan Chhack under Basudevpur block in Bhadrak district on Saturday.

The victim has been identified as Prahallad Barik hailing from Basudevpur village.

According to sources, Prahallad was brutally attacked with a sharp weapon inside a bus named ‘Bhabani Shankar’ by a fellow traveller sitting beside him in another seat.

Following the incident, other passengers travelling on the bus caught hold of the accused and thrashed him black and blue. Later, he was handed over to the police.

Though the reason behind the attack is yet to be known, some of the bus passengers claim that the accused is mentally unsound.

Police investigation into the matter is ongoing.
