Man Attempts To Kill Wife Over Dowry In Keonjhar

Jadipada: A man allegedly attempted to murder his wife at Jadipada village under Sadar police station limits in Keonjhar district on Wednesday.

According to police sources, the accused attempted to kill his wife by forcing a bottle into her abdomen. Hearing her screams, the neighbours rushed to the spot and took her to a nearby hospital.
The incident occurred after the victim’s family failed to meet the dowry demands of her husband and in-laws. The accused is absconding after the incident, the sources added.
