Balasore: Nilagiri: A man attempted self-immolation opposing alleged construction of government road over his land at Kadambagadi village in Odisha’s Balasore district. The man’s daughter also sustained injuries while trying to save him. The two have been admitted to the hospital, said sources.
The person had opposed construction of a public road on his land since long. Sources added that the man took the extreme step over alleged apathy of local administration. According to reports, the man has sustained critical burns and is in the ICU at a hospital in Balasore.
