Banki: A woman allegedly beat her husband to death at Ramachandi village in Baanra panchayat of Cuttack district late on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Gajendra Sahu.
According to locals, a verbal duel had broken out between the couple over some issue. The quarrel took an ugly turn when the woman identified as Kusum Sahu tied the hands and legs of the victim and then beat him up mercilessly. He died on the spot.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot and took the accused into custody.
Police have launched an investigation on basis of the statements of victim’s family members and neighbours.
