Cuttack: A man allegedly beat his seven-year-old daughter to death at Ragadipada village under Badamba block in Cuttack district on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Kaberi Nayak.
The accused, identified as Samir Nayak, had an argument with Kaberi over some petty issue. In a fit of rage, Nayak allegedly beat her daughter with a stick severely; following which she succumbed to her injuries.
Hearing noise from the house, neighbours reached the spot and saw the girl lying dead on the floor. They immediately informed police about the matter.
The accused has been arrested and is being interrogated by the cops.
