Man Beats Wife To Death, Buries Body In Odisha’s Sundargarh

Sudnargarh: In a ghastly incident, a man allegedly thrashed his wife to death over a family dispute and buried her body at the backward of his house at a village in Bonai area of Odisha’s Sundargarh district.

The incident, which reportedly took place at Baidapali village under the jurisdiction of Bonai police station on Sunday night, came to light on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Saraswati Kisan and the accused as Trilochan Kisan.

Sources said there was a heated argument between the two on Sunday night and Trilochan lost his cool. In a fit of rage, he allegedly attacked Saraswati brutally with a lathi.

As the woman died on the spot, the accused buried her body the backyard of his house. However, the police got information about the incident from some source and rushed to the site.

After a thorough search, the police found the body of the woman  buried in the backyard of the house.

The body was seized and sent for postmortem, while police detained Trilochana and launched an investigation into the incident.
