Dhenkanal: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly beat his wife to death and then ended his own life following a family dispute in Parjang area of Odisha’s Dhenkanal district on Sunday.
According to preliminary information, the accused, identified as Mithun Nayak, assaulted his wife repeatedly, leading to her death.
Following the death of his wife, Mithun reportedly died by suicide by hanging himself in front of his house.
After receiving information about the incident, police have begun an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances that led to the incident.
The probe will focus on the nature of the domestic dispute and the sequence of events preceding the tragedy, police sources said.
