Kendrapada: An elderly man beat his wife to death with a crowbar at Patakura in Odisha’s Kendrapada district on Tuesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Kamala Ojha.
According to sources, accused Ajay Ojha and his wife used to quarrel over domestic issues. Their spat took an ugly turn late Tuesday night when Ajay in a fit of rage took out a crowbar and assaulted Kamala. She died instantly.
Ajay later shut the door and went to sleep. As the door was found closed in the morning, his neighbours suspected something fishy and knocked on it. Ajay allegedly attacked them with the crowbar.
On being informed by locals, police rushed to the spot on Wednesday and seized the body for postmortem.
