Bhubaneswar: A miscreant has been caught on CCTV camera terrorising a family at Sashtri Nagar under Kharavela Nagar police limits here.
This has spread shockwaves among city denizens who are yet to recover from the gruesome day-light murder of a sweet’s stall owner a week ago.
In the video, the miscreant can be seen wielding a dragger, which he carried in a tennis racket cover. He allegedly threatened to kill the family if they dared to step out of their house.
The man, believed to be in his late 30s, then left the spot on his motorcycle.
Meanwhile, Kharvela Nagar police have detained the miscreants, Arun, and questioning him.
The accused reportedly owns a book shop at Unit IV market, where the family also has a saree shop.
Police are yet to ascertain the reason behind the incident. Further probe is underway.
