Man Charred To Death After Fire Hits House In Balasore

Balasore: A man was charred to death after fire hit a house at Balibila near Adabazar area in Odisha’s Balasore district late on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as Bhabani Shankar Jena, a native of Keonjhar district, who was working in a private company in Balasore.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the incident took place at about 3.30 am when the deceased was sleeping inside the house which was locked from inside.

A bike and other household articles have been completed gutted.

Though the locals had informed the Fire Brigade after noticing the fire billowing out of the house, the vehicle could not reach near the house due to narrow road.
