Keonjhar: In a tragic incident, a man was charred to death after a fire broke out in a house in Anandpur area of Odisha’s Keonjhar district.
As per information, the incident took place at Bada Danda Sahi near Ana
ndpur on Thursday night when the victim was reportedly alone in the house. The deceased has been identified as Debendra Mishra (50), a newspaper hawker.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, and police have begun an investigation into the incident.
Sources said the fire broke out when Mishra was alone at his house. When locals noticed the fire, it had had already engulfed the house.
After being informed by local residents, police and Fire service personnel reached the spot and carried out a rescue operation. However, the victim could not be saved as the blaze had spread extensively inside the house.
