Man Climbs High-Voltage Electric Tower In Bhubaneswar; Rescued

Bhubaneswar: High drama was witnessed after a man climbed a high-voltage electric tower in  Tamando area on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar in the early hours of Thursday, endangering his life.

According to fire service sources, the incident took place around 3 am as the man was found to have climbed the electric tower. He was spotted by some local residents.

After finding the man atop the electric tower, some locals informed the fire service and police for necessary steps.

On being informed, fire service personnel from Tamando fire station immediately rushed to the spot and swung into action to rescue the man.

The fire service team had a tough time rescuing the man. He was made to wear full body harness and brought down with utmost caution by the team safely.

The man, whose identity was not immediately known, was stated to be mentally unsound.
