Sundargarh: A man allegedly committed suicide after killing his daughter-in-law at Gireldunguri village under Dharuadihi police limits in Sundargarh district late on Monday.
According to police sources, Parsuram Dogul arrived at his son Kamal’s house on Monday night. Kamal had gone to Puri to witness Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra and his wife Jashobanti was alone at home.
Following a quarrel, Parsuram attacked Jashobanti with an iron rod and she died on the spot. Later, Parsuram committed suicide by lying on the railway tracks of a nearby station.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and further probe is on, said a police officer.
