Bhubaneswar: A man was critically injured after some masked miscreants attacked him inside a club in Bhubaneswar on Monday night.
According to sources, a group of 8-10 miscreants, armed with weapons and wearing masks on faces, went to Rajdhani Club at Sailashree Vihar under Chandrasekharpur police station in the city when the club members and guests were celebrating New Year Day.
The miscreants targeted Sangram Singh, a member of the club, and attacked him with the weapons on its premises before fleeing. Later, other members of the club rushed Singh to Capital Hospital in the city.
After the club members filed a complaint, a team from Chandrasekharpur police station went to the crime spot and started investigation. The police checked the footage from the CCTV camera in the club that had captured the entire incident.
One of the club members told the media persons that he had identified one of the assailants and informed his identity to the police. But he could not say the cause of attack on Singh. However, nobody has been arrested in this regard.
