Balasore: In a tragic incident, a man and his daughter were killed after a speeding truck dashed against their mot
orcycle in Soro area of Odisha’s Balasore district on Sunday.
According to preliminary reports, the victims were residents of Rahania village under Bhandaripokhari block of Bhadrak district. The mishap took place when they were travelling back home from Balasore.
The impact of the collision was so severe that both the father and daughter succumbed to their injuries on the spot before any medical assistance could reach them.
The bodies were later recovered and sent for postmortem examination. Relatives gathered at the scene and mourned the tragic loss of two members of the same family.
After receiving information, police reached the spot and seized truck. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances that led to the mishap.
