Bhubaneswar: One person has been detained for running over four puppies on two different days at Goshaneswar square under Lingaraj police limits in the capital city.
The detained persons has been identified as Prafulla Rout. According to a member of Seva Hi Sankalp organisation, Rout had ran over one puppy two days back and five more puppies the next day. The organisation members rescued one canine and admitted it to OUAT for treatment.
Meanwhile, the organisation has demanded action against Rout for his inhuman act.
Rout’s wife said due to old age, her husband could not see the puppies sleeping on the road and ran over them.
