Balangir: A man was killed and another suffered critical injuries after they were hit by a train near Luthurubandha in Balangir district on Monday.
Locals rescued the injured person and admitted him to Titlagarh hospital for treatment.
According to eyewitnesses, the victims were travelling on a motorcycle when they were hit by the Junagarh-Sambalpur passenger train. The duo allegedly was crossing the railway track, although the warning lights and sound near the crossing were active.
Upon receiving information regarding the mishap, police reached the spot and seized the body. Further investigation into the matter is on.
