Bhubaneswar: A man was killed after the car he was driving plunged into a canal near Barunei in Odisha’s Khurda district on Tuesday.
The mishap took place when the vehicle skidded off the road and fell into canal near Barunei on the Puri-Nirakarpur road, sources said.
As per preliminary information, the car was running at a very high speed and the driver got stuck inside the vehicle after it fell into the roadside canal
The deceased reportedly belonged to Rua area of Sadar block.
On being informed, a team of police personnel rushed to the spot and lanched an investigation.
