Man Dies By Hanging, Streams Video On Facebook Live In Odisha’s Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: A man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself while streaming the scene live on Facebook in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district.

The deceased was identified as Atal Singh (24) of Station Pada under the jurisdiction of Badamal police station in the district. He reportedly was working as a driver with a private company.

The video of the incident that took place late on Saturday night has gone viral.

Singh allegedly hanged himself from the ceiling of his room while his friends watched the tragic incident live.

His family members informed the police this morning. A team of police personnel visited the site and recovered the body which was sent for post-mortem.

The police have registered a case in connection with the incident and started an investigation. However, the reason behind the extreme step taken by the man is yet to be ascertained. Further details are awaited.
