Man dies of snake bite in Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A man died after a snake bit him at Bamphidi village under Ramurpur police limits in Keonjhar district on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Hari Nayak.

Nayak was working in an agricultural field near his house when the mishap took place.

Though people immediately rushed him to Anandpur sub-divisional hospital, his life could not be saved.

Police later registered a case of unnatural death and sent the body for postmortem.

Meanwhile, two persons were seriously injured in two separate wild bear attacks in Balasore district. They were admitted to Nilagiri sub-divisional hospital for treatment.
