Dhenkanal: A man was killed and his wife was critically injured after the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a truck in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district.
According to sources, the accident took place near Gajamara on Sankarpur road when the two were proceeding on the two-wheeler towards their village and the truck rammed into their bike from the rear.
The deceased has been identified as Prakash Behera of Gengutia village.
Both were rushed to the district headquarters hospital at Dhenkanal in a critical condition. Prakash succumbed to his injuries during treatment, while the condition of the woman, Rashmita, was stated to be critical.
On getting information, a police team reached the site and launched a probe into the incident.
